Job description
The new POS-system will provide the customer with new business benefits, enable a proactive business development and, most important of all, secure running business.
The customer is today using two different POS-systems in the checkout lanes, IBM 4690 in North America and Calypso in the remaining countries. Both of these systems are out of date, old and they are in their end of life. It is also getting increasingly hard to implement new requirements and it is today not certain that new legal demands can be met with the current systems.
The implementation and rollout of TP.net as new POS-system for the checkout lanes will provide the stores with new functionality and support in the Receive Payment-process.
There are benefits of implementing a new system that will have a direct and positive financial impact for the stores. The stores will lower their cost of buying new hardware by implementing a new modern POS-system that not is solely dependent on hardware from the current supplier. A new POS will also provide a more efficient IT-support for the Cash Reconciliation-process, this will lead to a possibility to reallocate resources from the cash-office to other activities in the store. IT will also be able to reduce the cost of maintenance when closing the current IBM 4690-system in North America.
The new POS-system will give new operational functionality that will be used in the stores, it will also give increased possibilities for follow up and support on country and enterprise-level. New functionality, throughout the receive payment-process will, hopefully, improve the productivity within the receive payment-process.
Technician within Payments is a technical role where a lot of work has to be done within our Payments test lab working with platforms and till installation. This role will be steered by lead Deployment manager and the manager of the Hardware/Deployment team.
Mail tasks:
As Technical specialist you will manage and support SW/HW configurations on many levels:
· Enterprise servers
· Store servers
· Backoffice clients on terminal servers
· Regular POS registers
· ECO POS registers
· Return POS registers
The role also includes work with POS platforms and modules for the overall POS solution:
· Common POS Platform
· Vendor specific platforms
· Common dependency modules
· TP.Net application modules
· You will also support the unit and system testing of deliveries and work with writing system documentation.

· Scripting knowledge within Windows platforms
· Experience and understanding of rollout preparation and execution
· Well versed in the Operational Change / Configuration / Architecture processes
· Experience and understanding of test concept
· Fluent in Swedish and English, both speaking and writing
