The role sits within R&D department, working closely with the UI developers. The successful candidate will be developing the back-end of systems that bring state of the art visualisation and animation of banking data to both desktop and mobile devices such as iPads. Schemas, tabular data models and DAX queries need to be heavily optimised so that reports can be retrieved sub-second to meet data visualisation requirements.
The job involves architecting and developing warehouse to use the latest business intelligence technologies, in particular: Microsoft Analysis Services 2012 Tabular/xVelocity technologies and the DAX query language.
University
Candidates should have a background in developing business intelligence (BI) and/or reporting applications, with a focus in performance optimisation.
Extensive SQL Server and Analysis Services experience.
Strong T-SQL and MDX skills.
A Firm understanding of Kimball design principles and Star schemas.
Any experience of DAX or Tabular technology is a bonus.
The candidate should have reasonable knowledge of C# .NET, any experience in WCF is very desirable.
