Our multinational client is looking for a Senior Accountant, who - during the transition period - would be responsible for daily smooth operation of the company's accounting and controlling responsibilities. After the project work extension of 1 year is to be decided.
- Active participation in monthly closing, reporting procedures
- Responsible for fixed asset analysis
- Maintains records of expenses, inventories
- Reviews actual against budgeted performances
- Provide up-to-date information on stock figures
- Prepare reports for state organisations (KSH, MNB)
- Applying Group Accounting standards as well as local accounting rules
- Prepare and submit tax returns
- Degree in Finance/Economics
- At least 4-5 years of experience in Finance roles
- 1-2 years of experience in a similary complex accountant role is a must
- Accounting experience gained in multinational environment is very much appreciated
- Fluent written, as well as oral English is a must
- Up-to-date taxation knowledge
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a big advantage
- Chartered Accountant qualification is preferred
- Good communication skills
