The WCDMA Access Software (WAS) Group is a team of 25 dedicated engineers in Lund in Sweden, Nuremberg in Germany and Bangalore in India. We are part of the bigger team of about 100 employees in the Access Software organization. We work in cross site teams where we involve employees from all sites.
Job description:
The job involves mainly handling the 3GPP WCDMA layer 2 user plane protocols and layer 3 RRC protocol. Most SW developers in the team take part in all development steps, including analysis, design, coding, test and maintenance.
We work in a global environment in close co-operation with other departments, sometimes at other sites. Our development environment is Windows based, however the target is an embedded system. The programming languages are C, C++ and Rational Rose RT (C).
You enjoy working both independently and in a small team and you are focused on reaching result on time. As a person you must be thorough and able to work with many different people.
Extra appreciated is experience from test driven development and knowledge in building test frameworks.
Required skills:
- Master of Science in Computer Science or Electronics or equivalent
- Good skills in C/C++ language
- Communication skills in English, both verbal and in writing
Preferred skills:
- Embedded SW development
- WCDMA or other protocol stack development
- Rational Rose RT or RSA RTE development
- Lauterbach debugging
- Test driven development
- SW architecture
- SW performance optimization
