We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced person for the following role:
Network and Security Engineer
Tasks:
- To manage and operate the Security Appliances
- To maintain documentation relating to the Systems
- Patch Device, both Security policy Patching and Operating System Level
- Develop/Maintain Configuration files
- Test configuration changes in test centre
- Develop/Maintain Configuration files
- Liaise with Device owner and Global Security Operation Centre.
- Notify Device Owner of issues with system using ticketing system
- Monitor Device Health and raise tickets if device operates outside of safe parameters.
- Track Defect or Bug announcements from Vendor and assess impact to deployment
Requirements:
- Experience managing Network or Network Security Appliances
- Experience in administration and configuration of one or more of the following Net/Sec infrastructure: Vulnerability Scanners, Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems, Firewalls, Directory Services, Endpoint Security and general network (routers/switches) infrastructure
- Knowledge of Unix (Linux) Operating Systems and general system administrator
- Good understanding of MSOffice, including Visio
- Industry recognised certifications in one or more of the following: Cisco, Juniper Networks, IBM/ISS, Sourcefire, Microsoft (security tracks only), nCircle, nmap, Snort, Arcsight, Avocent- a plus
- Industry recognised certifications from one or more of the following providers: (ISC)2, ISACA, SANS, EC-
- Strong grasp of network design, application/infrastructure security concepts, techniques, technologies, and tools
