NPI Project Manager (Szombathely)
Responsibilities:
- Act as the customer interface to plan and successfully implement new product introductions across a global stage.
- Communicate with the customer in professional and timely manner
- Identify the goals, objectives, and scope of NPI projects while working with relevant Business Unit and functional staff, both internal and external to the company.
- Work within the defined standards and procedures as set out by the company and the customer to successfully introduce new products.
- Establish a robust project governance process and provide regular and consistent communication between the launch team, the business unit, senior management and the customer.
- The creation and management of detailed multi functional project plans through a structured project planning methodology, providing coaching and mentoring to the project team in the planning process.
- Tracking of costs and minimizing expenses and financial exposure through the project.
- Identify cost and process improvement opportunities across customer Business units. Creating new projects and driving closure where opportunities exist.
- Monitor and control the performance of the assigned project teams.
- Working with Functional managers, Site Directors and Business Units to ensure the required resources are applied and work corrective action solutions to avoid project delays.
- Develop tools and metrics for handover to ensure continued performance after closure of the project.
- Ensure effective implementation of systems across the Business units and common implementation of best practices.
- Proactive risk management and mitigation.
- Leading and developing Multi Functional teams in the use of project management tools, methodology and processes.
- Be flexible and participate in other special projects on a case-by-case basis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (Supply Chain Management or Business Administration) or equivalent and 3 to 5 years related business experience OR 7 to 10 years experience, including at least 5 to 7 years experience in a direct or indirect supervisory role AND 1 to 3 years experience as a Project Manager or equivalent.
- A solid understanding of Project Management (Preferably PMI PMBoK), electronics manufacturing, IT systems, mechanical processes/ operations is required, as well as a proven track record in Customer interaction and cost reduction activities.
- Strong system and computer skills, particularly project management tools, spreadsheets, databases, Internet tools, word processing applications and ERP/MRP systems.
- Knowledge of the electronics industry and Project Management
- Clear evidence of leading and delivering major change projects in a electronics supply chain environment on time and to budget.
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong leadership skills are required.
- Fluency in both Hungarian and English.
